Nonprofit Sector Partnership All Partner Meeting | September 17, 2025

The Northern Colorado Nonprofit Sector Partnership gathered for its All-Partner Meeting on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at High Country Beverage, bringing together more than 80 nonprofit leaders and partners—including 15 first-time attendees. The morning was sponsored by Efficiency Works, who provided breakfast and highlighted their incentives for commercial customers.

Spotlight: The NoCo Pledge

Mary Ericson of the NoCo Foundation introduced the NoCo Pledge, encouraging nonprofits and community members to strengthen philanthropy in the region. For over 50 years, the NoCo Foundation has supported local nonprofits—helping sustain their impact and wellbeing.

Committee Updates

Board Development Committee
Led by Kelly Jackson, Jodie Riesenberger, Liz Barber, and Dave Dixon, the committee is building a Collaborative Advisory Board that adapts to organizations of different sizes and capacities. Each meeting will feature a focused topic; next week’s discussion will center on accessibility—covering practices such as recording meetings, sharing notes, and reporting out.

Sustainable Funding Committee
With Analia Weber transitioning into a leadership co-chair role, the committee is seeking a new chair. Current conversations focus on how to:

  • Clearly communicate progress with partners.

  • Keep donors informed, especially around the Big Beautiful Bill.

  • Educate nonprofits on building truly sustainable funding models, including monthly and annual donor programs, diversifying income, and reducing reliance on single sources.

Community Awareness Committee
The group is brainstorming the theme for its third PSA, with one possible angle: “What if your nonprofit lost funding, had to close its doors, or couldn’t retain staff?” The committee also emphasized the shared responsibility of partners to amplify the Partnership’s mission, website, and events. An updated Events Page will serve as a hub for regional nonprofit activity.

Workforce Development
This committee is tackling staff retention and succession planning while also:

  • Sharing workforce best practices and resources

  • Exploring compensation and benefits strategies

  • Standardizing presentations for consistent outreach

  • Training speakers and presenters

  • Mapping nonprofit career pathways

  • Creating a video resource to support education and recruitment
